when same sex couples split

In Texas, same sex married couples are entitled to the same legal rights, benefits, and responsibilities as different sex married couples.  And even if the same sex couple never legally married, assets still have to get divided when the parties go their separate ways.

Today I was honored @black.culturefeed featured me on this topic.  I have worked with many same sex couples and I understand some of the unique concerns in these separations.  I also understand the correct use of Owelty liens to “buy out” an ex partner’s equity in a residential property!  This is important as many lenders do not.

Don’t sit around WONDERING if you might qualify for a loan in your name individually … a break up is stressful enough on its own.  Let me get involved early in the process to give you an initial assessment – whether you are working with a lawyer or not.  You are in the best negotiating position when you have accurate information presented in writing!
