I sponsored the 3rd Annual San Antonio Family Law Essentials seminar last week. I think everyone was wishing we could have met in person … but the virtual presentations were really well done. @Sallee Smyth (Richmond, Texas) gave an update on case law and some of it was just riveting! @Heather King (Southlake, Texas) talked about social media in divorce and child custody cases. I was absolutely floored by how emojis and .gifs can be interpreted. It’s also pretty shocking to think criminals post about their activities.
The judge @JudgeRoyFergusonTX who is more commonly known as #lawyercatjudge (he has included Alvin the chipmunk in his menagerie) made a brief appearance. Presiding over the 394th Judicial District (in far west Texas), he and his team are credited with moving courtroom processes online when the corona virus pandemic hit Texas.

Organizers @Bertha Gutierrez, @Karen Marvel, and @Shanti Day did a superb job of assembling and running the schedule.
